Our Value Engineering Team combines the technical skill of a Master Electrician with an experienced Lighting Design Consultant to solve problems, identify and eliminate unwanted costs, and improve function and quality based on your unique project. This team works on each project together from the beginning, ensuring the best possible outcome for your project and eliminating future unanticipated change orders.

Michelle McLaughlin

CVO/Lighting Design Consultant

Michelle McLaughlin is the CVO and co-founder at Mac Electric. An entrepreneur at heart Michelle has comprehensive knowledge of all matters related to the business and helps with strategic planning, team and culture development, processes definition and company vision. She loves working with the team to master new and innovative ways to serve MAC’s customers and strives to provide a workplace where people can learn, grow, and find happiness.

Nothing is more important to Michelle than providing excellent customer service , therefore she takes much pride in MAC being honored with the Efficiency Works™. Highest Customer Satisfaction Award in 2016 & 2018.

Michelle enjoys spending most of her free time with her family and four children.

Michelle loves long evening walks with her husband and dog Dexter, working out, reading, gardening, traveling, hiking, and camping in the Rocky Mountains.

Shannon McLaughlin

COO/Master Electrician

As our “hands on” master electrician and operations manager, Shannon McLaughlin knows the ins and outs of electrical code compliance, electrical design, analysis and application, electrical estimating, and project management.  With his service-oriented outlook, he strives to create a unified team environment at Mac Electric & Lighting. He also strives to exceed customer expectations by regulating quality workmanship, a dedication to professionalism, reactive service standards, and individually addressing every customer’s needs.

Shannon is the COO and master electrician licensed in both Colorado and Wyoming, and is dedicated to providing the best electrical service in either state. He’s a Colorado native who enjoys the mountains and outdoors to include hiking, hunting, camping, four-wheeling, and fishing. He is a very dedicated husband and father who enjoys spending time with his family.  He is also an avid supporter of the Thompson Valley High School Athletics.

Shiloh McLaughlin

Land Development Manager/Master Electrician

Shiloh McLaughlin’s roots run deep at Mac Electric. He helped establish the family business from 2001 until 2007, and then reunited with our team in 2015 to help take Mac Electric to the next level. Shiloh is a Master Electrician in Colorado and is also a licensed Journeyman in Wyoming. He manages the organization and operations of the Land Development division of MAC Electric. He also estimates and manages projects and still does fieldwork, too. Shiloh believes in customer service, building strong trusting relationships with clients, and making sure that projects run efficiently and safely.

Shiloh is a native of Loveland, Colorado, and enjoys fly fishing, hiking, hunting, and pretty much any time he can spend outdoors with his lovely wife and three incredible children!

Jay McLaughlin

Jay McLaughlin

Account Manager

Jay McLaughlin was born and raised in Loveland, right in the heart of Northern Colorado. An account manager for MAC Electric, he thrives in the role. With an unceasing insistence on doing right by the customer, his creativity, transparency, and innovative thinking are instrumental to the MAC experience.

Jay has worked in customer service for as long as he can remember. From serving at the TPC golf course to working at a local health club selling memberships, Jay has maintained a passion to work with and help people. He carries that passion into his work at MAC as he works closely with customers to customize solutions to meet goals for LED lighting projects and Commercial EV projects.

Jay completed some education at Grand Canyon University with an emphasis in Business. When not providing his customer service expertise, you’ll catch him showing his support for the Avalanche and the Broncos, and living an active life; working out, golfing, spending time in the mountains hiking, camping, and hunting.

 

Josh McLaughlin

Journeyman Electrician

Josh McLaughlin has been a loyal part of the Mac Electric team for over 5 years. Following in his father’s footsteps, he joined the electrical trade, and enjoys working in the family business. Josh loves learning the ins and outs of the trade and working through challenges resulting in happy customers, he values learning from the experience of MAC’s senior electricians. When he’s not working, Josh enjoys  spending time with his wife Mechole, the Colorado outdoors, fishing, hunting and playing in competitive golf tournaments.

Gerald

Gerald Amdahl

Journeyman Electrician

Gerald Amdahl is a licensed Journeyman Electrician with experience in commercial, residential, and industrial electrical applications. Gerald has been with Mac Electric for more than seven years and enjoys the variety of work that comes with the job.

He enjoys challenging projects requiring control design and creative solutions. Gerald is knowledgeable and friendly and goes out of the way to exceed customer expectations: He makes it a point to leave job sites in better shape than expected. After he’s done wowing our customers for the day, he fills his free time fishing, mountain biking, four-wheeling, snowboarding, camping, dirt bike riding, and working on home projects. Gerald believes that making fitness a part of his schedule helps him remain positive, alert, and energetic.

Chris Wright

Electrician

Chris Wright has been a part of the Mac Electric team since April, 2018.  Chris is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. Here at Mac, he loves being able to help companies and communities better themselves through innovative electrical solutions.

Chris uses the power of his smile to take on any project. As a movie buff, he would be your go-to when hit with movie trivia, especially when it comes to The Fast and the Furious. So it’s no surprise that he enjoys video gaming competitions. Chris does get some Colorado sunshine—his dog, Yeezy, a husky/heeler/shepherd mix drags him out for hikes and fun at the dog park.

Operations Office Manager

Susan Ballinger joined the Mac Electric team in January 2022 as an Office Manager. Susan is an Army Veteran with 10 years of service and 2 deployments to Afghanistan. After serving in the Army Susan went on to earn her B.S. in Accounting from UNC in 2019. Susan enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, 2 pitbull dogs (Ruger & Cinder), and 7 chickens! She also enjoys filling her free time with crocheting, gardening, biking, and traveling.

Zach Huss

Apprentice Electrician

Zach Huss joined the Mac Electric field team as an apprentice electrician in 2022. His pursuit in daily endeavors is to provide selfless service unto others and to lead with a kindness others can aspire to achieve in their own lives. As a former independent contractor, Zach was excited to finally start a career in a specialized trade. Outside of his work at Mac, Zach is a youth Lacrosse coach in Northern Colorado, and has been involved in the Lacrosse community for 13 years. Zach enjoys being a positive influence for those he coaches and is often seen leading by example by stepping in and playing Lacrosse with other senior players and coaches of varying ages.

Apprentice Electrician

Hunter Pflieger recently graduated Loveland High and joined Mac Electric in June 0f 2022. He is an apprentice electrician and assists our journeymen and master electricians on the jobsites. Hunter finds electricity interesting and recently entered the Four-Year Electrician Apprentice Program through IECRM in Fort Collins. Hunter is looking to graduate the program and wants to become a journeyman electrician. Hunter is a Colorado native and lives in Loveland, Colorado. When he isn’t hunting and fishing, you can find Hunter with his two dogs; a St. Bernard named Jersey and his Catahoula Leopard Mix named Maverick.

Meet Devin Vise, our dedicated Journeyman Electrician. As a valued member of the Mac Electric team, Devin’s commitment to his craft and our team is commendable. Outside of work, he treasures moments spent with his wife and their trio of canine companions – Stan, Bella, and Benji. Devin is an avid snowboarder, finding joy in carving the slopes, and enjoys a relaxing game of golf when the weather is fair.

Lage’s zest for outdoor adventures is evident in his love for golf, boating, and camping.

Having spent a decade as a Project Coordinator for a General Contractor, Courtney Adolf brings a wealth of experience to the Mac Electric team. Her knack for organization and project management is a valuable asset to our team. Outside of work, Courtney cherishes time spent with her husband and kids, particularly enjoying watching them play softball and football. She’s not just a sports enthusiast, though; Courtney also has a passion for cars and is a skilled cook.
